The position requires a wide range of experience in electrical, plumbing, mechanical, building structural components and computer control systems. A proven self-starter with a strong work ethic and the ability to work well with others is required. Fingerprinting and a criminal record check are required.
This position may require substituting for a Custodian, Laborer or any other Maintenance absence.
-Performs skilled work in one or more of the building or service trades:
-Plans work, estimates material and supplies required, may read blueprints to determine outcome of work indicated, interprets diagrams, charts and specifications, requires supplies and equipment.;
-Operates power equipment, hand tools and testing equipment, maintains equipment and shop in good condition;
-Repairs and refinishes desks, tables, chairs and other furniture;
-Cleans and paints walls, woodwork and floors;
-Grinds and packs valves, packs pumps, replaces worn pipe flanges and gaskets;
-Replaces cabinets, desks, tables and other office equipment.
-Other related work as required.
