Job Description:

The work involves performing routine manual tasks in the care and cleaning of buildings.  The work requires the performance of simple cleaning tasks which require frequent bending, stretching, stooping and walking.  Work is performed under the direct supervision of a higher-ranked custodial or administrative employee.  Does related work as required.

Maintenance Mechanic Helper, 2nd Shift2026-27-02

Job Details:

  • 40 hours/per week, 12 months/per year
  • 2nd Shift, 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
  • Wage Grade 7, Step 1:  $20.20 per hour plus $0.30 per hour shift differential

Typical job duties:

  1. As directed by the Supervisor, maintenance duties include wall repair and painting, assisting Maintenance Mechanics, HVAC-R and various other maintenance duties.
  2. District-wide substitute for Laborers and/or Cleaner positions which entail cleaning and maintenance routines.  
$20.50 per hour
